Located in the heart of one of Canada’s largest, fastest-growing, and most diverse urban areas, Trillium Health Partners faces unique challenges from increasing patient volumes and a large population with complex chronic diseases.
Over 1.6 Million Annual Patient Visits
Mississauga’s population will grow by 63 per cent by 2035, an increase of over 650,000 people—including a 50 per cent growth in children and 175 per cent surge in seniors. Trillium Health Partners had over 1.6 million patient visits last year—the highest patient volumes in Ontario. In other words, THP helps more patients—and more often—than any other Ontario hospital. Imagine where we’ll be in 25 years.
A New Kind of Health Care for a Healthier Community
We need a new kind of health care for a healthier community now that is better integrated, fully accessible, and patient-centred in design. From newborns to seniors, adults with chronic diseases to youth battling mental health challenges, Trillium Health Partners is leading Ontario in providing fully integrated patient-first health care across the full life span of the patient.
Trillium Health Partners is designing our health-care services entirely around patients’ needs, ensuring access to the right care, in the right place, and at the right time.
We’re not just building capital spaces, we’re designing and reconfiguring patient zones that reflect our patients’ needs.
We’re researching to find practical innovations to real health-system challenges.
We’re training the next generation of clinicians in patient-first—not system-first—health care.
And we’re creating innovative programs and forging meaningful partnerships so that patients have access to sustainable health care that provides exceptional patient experiences—every time, no matter what time of day, or which of our three sites patients choose.
This is what a new kind of health care for a healthier community looks like.
But we can’t do this alone. We need our community’s help. We must advance on our capital priorities of Enhanced Spaces and Equipment, Innovative Programs and Partnerships, and Research and Education to ensure our care teams have the resources they need to deliver that exceptional care.
