Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)

Our Community Helps Us See the UnseenMRI with Caretaker

In the late spring of 2018, Trillium Health Partners opened the doors to many revitalized and expanded departments, including the Emergency, Critical Care, Surgery, and Diagnostic Imaging departments at our Credit Valley Hospital site—thanks to you and donors like you!

Diagnostic Imaging—The Backbone of our Hospital

Diagnostic Imaging is the backbone of our hospital and provides over 650,000 images and scans that enable almost every medical area of our hospital each year.  Replacing old equipment is critical to ensure high quality care for our growing community, so we are grateful to our community of donors for helping us acquire two new Computed Tomography (CT) scanners as part of our recent redevelopment of Diagnostic Imaging at Credit Valley Hospital.

MRIs—The Power to See the Unseen

Demand for diagnostic images is significantly increasing from all of our medical departments because of our rapidly growing and aging population.

MRIs are essential for everyone—from children to seniors.  To discover blood clots. To perform breast cancer biopsies.  To keep our patients within our circle of care—closer to home.

MRIs allow radiologists—physicians who specialize in diagnosing diseases and injuries through medical imaging—to see the unseen and discover the unknown.  MRIs reveal the body’s organs and tissues in detail through quantum physics, without radiation, making them one of the safest body-imaging methods.

Detailed pictures of patients’ hearts, brains, and even developing fetuses, help our physicians diagnose injuries and diseases.  Something our entire community relies on—your family, friends, and neighbours.

Replacing Our MRIs for Improved Patient Care

We are in critical need of a new MRI.  And we need our community’s continued support to replace our MRI machines.

 >> Your support as a monthly donor will help us purchase new equipment like a MRI and enable our hospital to continue to provide exceptional care for you and your loved ones.
