MISSISSAUGA – Olga Giovanniello, Chair of the Board of Trillium Health Partners Foundation (THPF), is pleased to announce that Caroline Riseboro has been appointed to the position of president and CEO of Trillium Health Partners Foundation, following an extensive search process that involved members of both the Foundation and the hospital. Ms. Riseboro takes over from Steve Hoscheit who had been at the helm for the past 11 years.
“Caroline has the vision, leadership skills and fundraising prowess to lead the Foundation during this next crucial period of growth. Our success will be key to realize the broader vision of the hospital,” said Ms. Giovanniello.
With a 20-year track record of success, Caroline joins us from Plan International Canada where, as president and CEO, she transformed Plan into one of the largest charities in the country, with annual revenues of $250 million. Her proven skills – in transformational giving, campaign development and leading sizable teams to success – will ensure the Foundation has the leadership and resources needed to support Trillium Health Partners’ strategy of much-needed redevelopment and growth.
Prior to Plan, Caroline held executive roles at CAMH (Centre for Addiction and Mental Health) Foundation and World Vision Canada. She holds several board positions, including as chair of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, Greater Toronto Chapter. She is a graduate of McGill University, Harvard Business School’s Nonprofit Leadership program and has been pursuing a Master of Philanthropy and Nonprofit Leadership from Carleton University.
After two decades of professional commitment to the international development sector, Caroline is shifting her sights to make the same kind of impact at home. “In my new role, I will raise the funds needed to reinvent one of the largest community academic hospitals in Canada. Trillium Health Partners will revolutionize the way health care is delivered – not only locally but nationally,” Caroline said.
Trillium Health Partners is one of Canada’s largest community-based teaching hospitals, with a focus on research and innovation. In Ontario, no other hospital will experience more demand for services in the next 20 years. THP is responding to the unprecedented needs of the community in a number of ways, including new approaches to health care delivery, partnerships across the private and public sector, and building new hospital capacity.
Caroline Riseboro begins her new role at THPF effective February 24, 2020.
Olga Giovanniello, on behalf of the Board of Trillium Health Partners Foundation, would like to recognize and thank Steve Hoscheit for his outstanding work in successfully leading the Foundation for the past 11 years.
