MISSISSAUGA – Trillium Health Partners Foundation is excited to announce that Deepak International Ltd. has stepped forward to be the presenting sponsor for the next two years at Laugh Out Loud (LOL) – this year, in support of mental health at Trillium Health Partners. The event will take place on February 28 at The International Centre.
“It’s an honour to be this year’s presenting sponsor,” says Mr. Deepak Kumar, president & CEO, Deepak International Ltd. “I strongly believe that it’s important for organizations to contribute to the community in which they live and work; and for me, health care is at the core of a healthy, happy and vibrant society. We must break down the barriers of mental health and community support at Laugh Out Loud will ensure that our hospital is one step closer to that goal.”
This year’s event theme will celebrate all things Canadian, featuring the comedic acts of Gerry Dee and Alan Thicke.
“We’re proud to partner with Deepak International Ltd. as our LOL 2015 presenting sponsor for the next two years. As the exclusive distributor of Canada’s Polar Bear Diamond brand trademark, it’s a great fit to our Canadiana event theme – from Mounties to mooses, and now, to polar bears,” says Steve Hoscheit, president & CEO, Trillium Health Partners Foundation. “In the past five years, Trillium Health Partners has seen a 41% increase in overall mental health visits and a 66% increase in visits from youth. Community support will help to ensure that those who battle mental illness will have access to the very best programs, right here in our community. We’re grateful for community partners like Deepak International Ltd., who continue to make a difference in the thousands of lives who turn to our hospital for high-quality care.”
Each year, close to 1,000 guests attend Laugh Out Loud. Since its inception in 2013, LOL has raised a total of $4.7 million for important initiatives across Trillium Health Partners.
