Your hospital is growing!

Thursday, April 27 was an exciting day for Trillium Health Partners and our broader community of Mississauga and West Toronto. The Provincial Budget – which focused in part on strengthening public services and major investments in health care – announced that our hospital has been approved to expand Mississauga Hospital and Queensway Health Centre sites, as part of the provincial long-term infrastructure plan. The proposed project will also free up a significant amount of capacity at our Credit Valley Hospital and will make a tremendous difference to the community that we care for every day.

More specifically, this investment includes the addition of over 500 new hospital beds and the replacement of over 500 existing beds. It also involves a new acute care tower at Mississauga Hospital and new post-acute complex at Queensway Health Centre

This expansion will open up significant capacity at all three hospital sites, which will help us to better meet your needs, and your family’s needs. This investment by our government will not only help us achieve these objectives, but is an acknowledgement of Trillium Health Partners as one of the most efficient, innovative and trusted hospitals in Ontario – right here in your community, close to home.

While there is still work ahead, together we can celebrate this important milestone, and thank you – all of you – for the invaluable support you’ve given in helping us build a new kind of health care for a healthier community. From children to seniors’ health care, we can continue to be here for you – because of each and every one of you. Thank you.

We really are Better Together.
